America’s Car-Mart is proud to share that our Chief Technology Officer, Josh Smith, will be honored by the Arkansas Academy of Computing on November 7, 2025, for his leadership and contributions to the technology community.
Josh joined Car-Mart in November 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in technology leadership, innovation, and strategy. A native of Arkansas and a U.S. military veteran, Josh has built a career leading digital transformations that make a measurable impact on businesses and communities.
Before joining Car-Mart, Josh served as CEO of Metova, a leader in innovative digital strategy, and held senior roles at Acxiom, where he helped design advanced data environments that improved efficiency and financial modeling for financial services clients. He also co-founded First Orion, worked at FIS Global, and served as President at SEAS Education.
In addition to his industry leadership, Josh is a founding member of the Arkansas Innovation Council, which collaborates with state leaders to shape policies that drive technological innovation and business growth across the state.
At Car-Mart, Josh leads our technology strategy — guiding teams in data, development, engineering, and product innovation. His work is focused on aligning technology initiatives with business goals, creating a seamless, customer-first experience that drives loyalty and growth.
“Josh’s leadership is helping us advance our digital vision, strengthen our customer journey, and build the right foundation for the future of Car-Mart,” said Doug Campbell, Car-Mart President and CEO. “We are proud to see him recognized by the Arkansas Academy of Computing for his achievements.”
Car-Mart congratulates Josh on this well-deserved honor and looks forward to celebrating his recognition this November.
